Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Food and beverage plant. Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). Tasks: Revise type and quantity of materials required sent for production, construction and other projects. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Maintain work records and logs. Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner. Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction and other projects. Keep track of shipments. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Plan and maintain production schedules. Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops. Compile inventory reports. Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility. Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages. Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning. Computer and technology knowledge: Mapping and data visualization software. Word processing software. Electronic mail. Spreadsheet. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Internet. MS Excel. MS Windows. Data manipulation and analysis. Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
