*Responsibilities: * - Advise patients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle and budget. - Offering guidance with frames to suit the patient's aesthetic and lifestyle needs. - Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by optometrist - Stock management (meeting with reps and ordering new product) - Quality control with incoming product - Arranging and maintaining retail display area - Upholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills - Booking appointments - Billing (including 3rd Party) - Opening and closing procedures - Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Previous retail experience an asset - Exceptional communication skills, particularly verbal, with excellent "bedside manner", professionalism, and active listening also an asset *Specific Skills: * - Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear - Performing repairs and adjustments to patients? eyewear - Submitting prescription eyewear requisitions to manufacturing lab - Excellent multitasking skills - An ability to adapt and respond to different personalities - Patience, approachability and a calm demeanor - Ability to manage patient expectations and concerns - Outgoing personality - Organized and attention-to-detail - Adapt to a fast-paced and often-changing environment - Team-oriented and must demonstrate willingness to learn as well as coach others - Efficient time management skills with sense of initiative -Familiarity with computers and an ability to adapt to and learn new technology and software Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationPenticton, BC
