*Summary Description*
Provide prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle sales to customers by using current pro-active feature benefit sales techniques.
*Major Duties and Responsibilities:*
_*1) Sales Department Operations*_
* Meet or exceed new and used sales quotas as agreed upon with the Sales Manager.
* Use floor time effectively to meet customer needs & solicit sales of all products.
* Present the features of all products to customers along with their benefits and advantages.
* Assist with maintaining motorcycle inventory from basement/service to floor.
* Maintain competitive brand knowledge.
* Cross sell additional P&A, General Merchandise, H.O.G. memberships, F&I products, Extended Service Plans & service contracts etc. with all new and used vehicles.
* Maintain profit margin objective for all vehicle sales.
* Coordinate delivery schedule with Service Team.
* Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork, including the Garage Register and Prospect Management records.
* Introduce new customers to the Service, Parts, General Merchandise and F&I departments and their personnel.
* Assists with advertising for sales promotions, including used bikes on website.
* Maintain cleanliness of showroom, motorcycles and displays.
* Conduct vehicle delivery walk-arounds as required.
* Keep up-to-date on current & previous model year HD product knowledge.
_*2) Customer Service*_
* Follow the 11 step C.U.S.T.O.M. Sales Process
* Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
* Handle all communications transactions quickly, and courteously.
* Ensure customers are properly qualified for needs, wants, and ability to buy.
* Practice a feature/benefit selling methodology so that all customers receive consistent treatment when doing business.
* Use a common and consistent quotation methodology for vehicle sales, trade-ins and purchases.
* Conduct a pre-delivery inspection prior to delivery to customer.
* Ensure the delivery to customer is an ?EVENT? which endears the customer to the dealership.
* Contact customers using mailing lists, email/e-blast & personal follow-up to encourage additional sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to ?Make Things Right?.
* Attend training sessions to keep current with sales techniques and sales department issues.
* Cultivate prospects (e.g., showroom customer follow-up, phone-in inquiries, past owners, etc.)
_*3) Other Duties - As Assigned*_
*Qualifications Required:*
* Must have an approachable, likable personality with a high energy level.
* Excellent communication Skills and demonstrated ?closing skills?.
* Exceptional time management skills.
* Two to three (2-3) years progressive experience within the sales department of a motor vehicle dealership, an Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) license and a valid GM drivers license.
* Grade 12 complete.
* Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
* Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the dealership to maximize both the buying experience for the customer and the profitability of the dealership.
* Ability to utilize the DMS & CRM to its maximum potential.
* Demonstrated passion for riding & the HD brand.
* Independently able to generate leads & business.
* Ability to push an 600+ lb. motorcycle.
* Required to conduct test rides with exposure to outdoor elements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
