The company also holds Canadian distribution rights for CRAFT sportswear.Role SummaryUnder the direction of the Financial Director, the Junior Controller will Ensuring that all month-end financial accounting duties, and all resulting financial reporting, is completed in a timely and accurate manner.Job Responsibilities- Ensuring that all month-end financial accounting duties, and all resulting financial reporting, is completed in a timely and accurate manner;- Coordinating all activities within the Finance Department including payables, receivables, general accounting, special projects accounting and reporting;- Preparing and managing all the Governmental remittance including GST/QST returns and the foreign withholding reporting;- Performing all duties and responsibilities in accordance with appropriate accounting standards;- Supervising and assisting in the development and maintenance of accounting files and records;- Analyzing monthly advertising and promotion expenses and computer expenses;- Preparing month-end and year-end files;- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports and corresponding analysis;- Coordinating activities with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits and filings;- Performing carefully all follow up on files and necessary analysis;- Keeping abreast of federal, provincial developments, laws and policies that may affect the financial operations of the companies;- Interacting with staff, auditors and government agencies. Team management- Defining expectation related to the jobs in the department and communicate to the employees in charge;- Managing the team work by establishing priorities and follow up and verify the work carried out;- Helping the employees to find solutions to problems and support them in implementing solutions; Additional duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as required throughout the course of employment.Qualifications and Skills- A bachelor's degree in business administration;- A recognized accounting designation (CPA-CA, CPA-CMA or CPA-CGA); - A minimum of three (2) years? experience in similar role;- Be bilingual- Perfect IT skills particularly with Excel- Excellent knowledge of accounting systems of SAP Business One and SAP, an asset;- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;- Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team;- Leadership skills;- Excellent communication skills;- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments, meeting deadlines and budgets, while ensuring high quality workEmployment Conditions- Permanent, full time (35 hours per week) - Competitive salary and employee benefits- Starting date: As soon as possible
