<p>Position: English Language Arts Instructional Coach<p>Location: Area 1 Office - Thompson<p>Start Date: November 4, 2024 <p>FTE: 1.00 FTE <p>Term of Employment: Permanent<p>Application Deadline: Open Until Filled<p> <p>The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more! <p>Reporting to the Area Superintendent, and the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Academic Programs and Instruction, the Instructional Coach?s primary purpose is to work in collaboration with school staff to advance student achievement through the implementation of English Language Arts curricula, with a focus on literacy and support programs. <p> <p>Qualifications: <p><p> Bachelor of Education Degree<p> Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)<p> Minimum of five years relevant classroom experience with a preference to a broad range of early and middle years? experience, with a focus on English Language Arts curricular outcomes, instructional strategies, resources and assessment<p> Proven English Language Arts implementation skills<p> Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills<p> Demonstrated experience in facilitation and organization of professional learning opportunities<p> Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with administrators, teachers and other coaches consultants to promote school planning and student achievement<p> Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life<p> Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning<p> Valid Manitoba Driver?s License and ability to travel<p><p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities: <p><p> Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance school/classroom implementation of provincial English Language Arts curriculum and programming to meet the student needs including divisional and provincial policy and regulations<p> Participate in the development and implementation of the Division?s strategic plan and school plans in English Language Arts, with a focus on literacy<p> Perform in a collaborative capacity with administrators, teachers and other school personnel to provide leadership and guidance in the development and implementation of instructional strategies and resources to support literacy programming in English Language Arts<p> Develop and lead professional learning initiatives in the area of literacy<p> Assist teachers with individual and/or classroom lesson planning<p><p><p> Promote student achievement by encouraging professional dialogue<p> Integrate Indigenous perspectives into curriculum and programming<p> Liaise with representatives from divisional, provincial and other outside agencies as it relates to literacy and English Language Arts programming<p> Other related responsibilities as assigned.<p><p> <p><p> Applicants are required to submit the following:<p><p> cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicant?s performance in the applicant?s current or recent assignment<p><p> <p> <p><p>Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
