Under the direction and leadership of the Supervisor/Lead hand, the Finish Carpenter assumes responsibility for all general carpentry duties required on commercial scope construction projects. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* Follow scope of work unless direct otherwise by the Foreman/Lead hand * Installation of exterior & interior doors * Interior & exterior framing * Custom millwork/cabinetry * Installation of cabinets & countertops * Installation of baseboards, casings, and trim * Minor roofing * Shelving * Drywall * Ensure all safety codes are followed and proper safety attire is always worn. * Other duties as assigned *Qualifications* * Previous Carpenter experience * A minimum of 2+ years construction & renovation experience * Valid Fall protection, CSTS-0.9/20, WHMIS 2015, and Standard First Aid an asset * Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions * General construction safety knowledge * Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience * Strong focus on customer satisfaction * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work independently in a demanding environment * A team player with strong people skills *Physical Requirements* * Stand or walk for long periods of time * Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time * Ability to lift up to 25kg * Climbing stairs/ladders regularly * Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools *We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.* Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18.00-$35.00 per hour Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$38.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * RRSP match Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 12 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Acheson, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: * Finishing: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Driver's License (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationAcheson, AB
