We are currently searching for an *Assistant Controller* to join our Saskatoon Office. The successful candidate will report directly to our Controller and work closely with our finance and project teams. The Assistant Controller's responsibilities include the management of day-to-day accounting administration, cost reporting, as well as accounting staff supervisor, mentoring, and training. Depending on the successful candidate's skills, abilities, and experience level, the role could be expanded to that of a Financial Controller.
*Responsibilities:*
* Under the guidance of the Controller, plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of Threeosix?s financial department;
* Follow and implement financial policies, systems and procedures;
* Prepare or coordinate the preparation of financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analysis and financial management reports;
* Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
* Train, manage, and mentor the internal accounting team;
* AP/AR and job cost accounting;
* Manage intercompany accounting and prepare financial reports for subsidiary companies;
* Coordinate the year end process including preparation of working paper files;
* Maintain the system of internal controls;
* Regulatory reporting (GST, PST, WCB, Stats Canada, etc.);
* Notify and report to the Controller any trends that are critical to the Company's financial performance.
*Qualifications:*
* CPA Canada designation required;
* Five - ten years? of accounting experience;
* Experience in the construction, fabrication, or mining sectors is preferred;
* Solid analytical, problem-solving abilities and mathematical skills;
* Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
* Good communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
