Responsibilities for this position include designing, testing, implementing, releasing, mentoring other developers and supporting features that enable HR teams to create a great experience for Air Canada's Employees worldwide. <br> <br> <strong>Responsibilities: </strong> <br> <br> The Manager, HR Digital Development - will play a key role within the team acting as the leading technical expert; they will be responsible of the translation of business strategies and requirements into specific technical solutions and will have a hands-on approach in the development phase. <br> <br> Primary Responsibility: <ul> <li> Act as a tech lead in the team </li> <li> Evolve the secondary system of records outside PeopleSoft (Primary system of records). </li> <li> Lead the HR Digital vision of the line Director and ensure compliance to delivery standards. <ul> <li> Lead HR automation initiatives with internal development. </li> </ul> </li> <li> Ensure solution and data framework consistency. </li> <li> Work with Functional Architect and Experience Manage to ensure consistent employee and HR Manager experience. </li> <li> Own data integration with PeopleSoft / Primary System of records. </li> </ul> Job Functions: <ul> <li> Application architecture - responsible for creation on secondary system of records outside PeopleSoft </li> <li> Code review <ul> <li> Enforce coding best practices and framework adherence </li> <li> Change Management </li> <li> Migration policy and Automation </li> </ul> </li> <li> Hands on programming </li> <li> People Management Responsibilities </li> </ul><b>Qualifications</b> <ul> <li> Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline. </li> <li> A depth of knowledge across multiple technologies, both Front End (JavaScript, Angular JS, jQuery, Blazor) and Back End (C#, SQL, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC Framework)</li> <li> Demonstrable ability to act as a technical lead on projects</li> <li> Passion for mentoring and coaching junior developers</li> <li> Experience in architecting & building web applications (both customer-facing & enterprise)</li> <li> Proficiency in Git</li> <li> Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns</li> <li> High personal standards around software development practices and craft (clean code)</li> <li> Experience in web application security best practices</li> <li> You know what a good API looks like</li> <li> You have experience with continuous integration environments, writing testable software, and test driven development</li> <li> Experience with microservices an asset</li> <li> Experience with Azure DevOps an asset </li> </ul> <strong>Conditions of Employment:</strong> <ul> <li> Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position. </li> </ul> <strong>Linguistic Requirements</strong> <br> <br> Based on equal qualifications, preference will be given to bilingual candidates. <br> <br> <strong>Diversity and Inclusion</strong> <br> <br> Air Canada is strongly committed to Diversity and Inclusion and aims to create a healthy, accessible and rewarding work environment which highlights employees' unique contributions to our company's success. <br> <br> As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from all to help us build a diverse workforce which reflects the diversity of our customers, and communities,- LocationDorval, QC
