*Job Overview*: International Purchasing and Sales for a Global Seafood Supplier with over 30 years in business. Tradex Foods is seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual to join our seafood/fish purchasing team. Naturally, part of this position involves some sales as well. This individual must be fluent in written and spoken English and have a minimum of three years? experience in purchasing and sales. Additional languages are an asset, but not mandatory. The primary responsibility for this role includes (but is not limited to) maintaining and expanding our supply chain network and negotiating small and large volume contracts both in North America and around the world for a variety of Wild Caught and Farmed Finfish and Ground Fish. *Skillset:* Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional languages are an asset, but not mandatory. Experience with Foodservice and/or Retail industry. Experience buying/selling into International and North American Markets. Experience negotiating contracts. Cold Calling and Networking to forge new connections. Experience and Knowledge of the Seafood Industry is considered an asset but is not required. *Additional Skills Important to this Role:* Outlook, Excel, above average math skills, proficient in typing and using computer programs. Professional and effective communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently as well as a team. Task oriented and meets deadlines. Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to new situations Problem solving skills Punctual, dependable and reliable. We are looking for someone who is considered by their peers as a closer in both purchasing and selling and who obtains results. *Working Environment:* Fast Paced and Exciting office environment Can only work out of the Victoria Office. Working remotely is not an option. Modern office in modern building convenient to Victoria and surrounding communities. *Salary & Benefits:* Starting Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000.
