Program Support Teacher<p>École St. Patrick High School<p>Start Date: August 20, 2024<p><p><p>Required Education and Recommended Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience<p>Must hold, or be eligible for a(n) NWT Teaching Certificate<p><p>B.Ed with a specialization in Inclusive Schooling<p><p>A minimum of five years of teaching experience<p><p>Experience working as a Program Support Teacher would be an asset<p><p>Experience at the Grade 8 - 12 level<p><p>Background in inclusive education, working with students with diverse learning needs and experience working in inclusive school environments is required<p><p>Experience and knowledge in adapting programs for students with exceptional needs, including the development of Individual Education Plans and Student Support Plans<p><p>Experience providing professional development and coaching for teachers in the area of inclusive schooling<p><p>Knowledge of, and experience in working with students with low incidence disabilities<p><p>Training and experience in using a variety of standardized, normative assessment instruments to assess individual student progress<p><p>Knowledge of, and experience in the effective use of assistive technology would be an asset<p><p>Experience in a northern setting would be an asset<p><p>Vulnerable Sector Check is a requirement<p> <p>Required Skills and Abilities<p><p><p>Demonstrated ability to monitor and lead all IEP/SSP processes<p><p><p>Demonstrated ability to monitor and lead behaviour support plan processes<p><p><p>Demonstrated ability to work as part of an effective school team, as well as the ability to coordinate school support teams<p><p><p>Closing date: Open until filled<p><p><p>Submit your resume to:<p>YCS Human Resources<p>ycshr@ycs.nt.ca <p>Yellowknife Catholic Schools<p>P.O.
