Hughes Intelligence was established in 1994 and our head office is located in Sarnia, Ontario. We adhere to the highest standards of security guard training, business security services, private investigation and more. We are currently recruiting *Security Guards *to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations. *We are currently looking to fill 1:1 Security Guard / resident safety personnel positions that will be working within long-term care homes in Tecumseh. Must be able to be scheduled on Saturday & Sunday.* We are currently seeking licensed Security Guards for *full-time* hours! Please note, this is not a position suitable for students who are not able to work 8-12 hour scheduled shifts or cannot work 35-40 hours per week. *Security Guard responsibilities:* * Protecting people, assets & property at client locations * Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis * Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems * Conducting preventive surveillance * Providing impeccable customer service * Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance * Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment * Enforcing client property regulations * Writing reports * Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented *Security Guard requirements:* * Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification *(Must be from a Red Cross trained organization)* * Must pass Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) *(REQUIRED)* * Have received a primary series of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine * A Recent *2-Step TB test or equivalent * within the past 6 months * Valid Driver's License *(REQUIRED)* * Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation *(REQUIRED)* * Willing to travel out of Sarnia for locations such as Petrolia, Grand Bend, Wallaceburg & Chatham * Previous experience working as a security guard or previous experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset * Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 10 hour shifts * Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players *\*\* Please answer all screening questions to be considered\*\** *Apply today!* Hughes Intelligence welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
