Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Work setting: Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Administrative and office activities. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Conduct follow-up assessments. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Mandt System training. Mental health first aid Certificate. Cultural Awareness Training. First Aid Certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.
