Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Study market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials. Establish and maintain contact with suppliers. Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements with suppliers. Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets. Provide customer service. Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase. Select and purchase merchandise for resale. Supervise work of other buyers. Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events. Experience: Will train. Support for persons with disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Support for Indigenous people: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers .
