Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Employer's home. Tasks: Change diapers. Follow parents' lead with toilet training . Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Shop for food and household supplies. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties. Bathe, dress and feed infants and children. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Prepare infants and children for rest periods. Supervise and care for children. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Medical exam. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Initiative. Organized. Reliability. Time management. Patience. Honesty. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees. Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for Indigenous people: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers . Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers .
