The South East Grey Community Health Centre (SEGCHC) is a primary care facility located in Grey County. We have four sites located in Dundalk, Markdale and Chatsworth. The SEGCHC is dedicated to meeting the broader needs of the communities in which we serve through the development and implementation of primary care, health promotion and community development best practices. We are currently seeking (1) one part time (37.5 hours biweekly) Chiropodist starting as soon as possible. Position salary is dependent upon experience but will be approximately $30.89/hour. We offer a competitive salary along with HOOPP pension and a comprehensive benefits package. *Key responsibilities include: * 1. Diagnose problems that occur with the feet and perform treatments that are designed to relieve foot problems, cure foot diseases and prevent future foot ailments. 2. Treat dermatological problems including corns, callouses, verrucae, in-grown toenails and fungal infections. 3. Act as a client advocate on individual and systemic issues. 4. Assist with development of a Diabetic program that will assure access to yearly foot exams over and above the current patient expectation. 5. Perform minor procedures as required. 6. Contribute to chart documentation, participate in chart reviews and case conferences and make the appropriate referrals and recommendations to PCPs. 7. Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of foot care programs and services for individuals, families and communities. *Education and knowledge required:* 1. Diploma or degree from a recognized program or University 2. Member in good standing of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. 3. Three to five years of foot-care experience. 4. Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications including MS Office.
