At our clinic we offer Ophthalmic-medical and elective (Lasik) surgical services and serve a wide range of people in the community. We are looking for an individual who has experience in the ophthalmology field and can apply their skills to our fast-paced, multi doctor clinic. The perfect candidate will preserve our ideology by offering premium patient care. In this role your primary duty will be to assist our ophthalmologists by pre-screening patients and performing ocular measurements. With our patient lists growing and new diagnostic equipment, you are sure to gain experience and knowledge while working at Eye Q. *Duties/Responsibilities:* * Recording patient medical history * Performing various preliminary diagnostic testing: OCT, Visual field, pachymetry, IOP, visual acuity, IOL Master, autorefraction, lensometry, a-scan, pentacam * Instilling ophthalmic drops for fundus examination and procedures * Assisting in minor procedures *Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum 1-2 years of Ophthalmic experience preferred * Preference will be given to those JCAHPO certified * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Detail oriented and have the ability to work well with a team as well as independently. * Intermediate computer skills, experience with *Health Quest* is considered an asset *Position details:* This is a permanent, full-time position.
