Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Long term care center. Tasks: Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Process files and paperwork. Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history. Organize and maintain inventory. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
