*Job description*
With 140 successful years in the industry, Krug is well recognized as a leader in the design & manufacture of high quality business and healthcare furniture. We are seeking a full-time 'Production Expeditor' to join our team at our Seating Division in Kitchener.
*Role & Responsibilities:*
- Issue daily production reports, marked with priorities to all Team Leaders. Issue weekly output reports. production tracking reports for key product shows and flags delays to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Expedites all parts, supplies and units through manufacturing facility and track shortages to meet production schedules.
- Continuously collaborate with Production to ensure on-time delivery.
- Flag and expedites shortages of materials to ensure compliance with production completion schedules.
- Advises Supervision and Operations of all situations that pose a ?risk? to schedule. Timely follows up on every unit every week.
- Labels and flags material that is late for production utilizing existing systems established.
- Incorporates systems that visually identify status of units on the floor.
- Tracks specials and hot orders so that they are processed on schedule. This includes ensuring priorities are highlighted to Team Leaders until orders are complete.
- Prioritize & track rework parts and assist processing them through all different departments, using available alternate options.
- Performs all responsibilities/services in accordance with company Quality Assurance procedures and safety practices
- Assists in cycle counting critical parts in shortage situations
- Act as a backup for fabric receiving.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned
*Qualifications:*
Grade 12 education.
Related college courses in inventory control and/or scheduling an asset.
Must be highly organized and have the ability to handle multiple tasks and troubleshoot any challenges that may arise.
Must have computer skills, able to update reports and ability to learn PDMAIN.
One to three years previous experience. Product knowledge a definite asset.
Hands on experience operating woodworking equipment an asset.
