About Us Edison Lighting Canada Ltd. manufactures high-quality commercial grade standard and custom world-class luminaires with advancing technologies focusing on quality, reliability, energy efficiency, and design. We are currently looking to hire in the assembly department. This position is based at our facility in Newmarket, ON. For more information please visit our website: www.edisonlighting.ca This is a full-time position. We work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30p.m *The following are the essential functions of this position: * · Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies · Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments · Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables · Pack and unpack materials · Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies · Responsible for packaging, labeling, and storing of material and shipments · Maintain quality control of goods by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments · Schedule shipments · Prepare and/or sign off on shipping documents (i.e.: bills of lading, invoices, etc.) · Report any damaged stock or equipment to the supervisor · Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude *Skills/Requirements:* · Receiving, stocking, and stacking · Pulling, packing, and loading · Ability to stand for 8 hours per shift. · Ability to lift between 30-50 lbs. · Manual and physical dexterity · Good written and verbal communication skills · Ability to multitask · Strong sense of time organization and urgency · Able to work independently and within a team · Valid driver?s license and/or certification to operate a forklift or other machinery in the warehouse *Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:* · High school diploma · 3-5 years of shipping/receiving, warehouse management experience · Basic computer skills · Forklift Certification and proven forklift experience Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $20.00 per hour Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Shipping & Receiving Occupations: 4 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationNewmarket, ON
