Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Consult clients to prepare contracts and project specifications
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Present and explain proposals to clients
  • Review project plans to approve or recommend design changes
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Monitor and evaluate
  • Administer land use plans and zoning by-laws
  • Review and evaluate proposals for land use and development plans and prepare recommendations
  • Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications
  • Project management
  • Develop and prepare design sketches
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Interpret and explain government acts and regulations
  • Enforce government acts and regulations
