*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management, process improvement, and quality control systems. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
*Responsibilities:*
* Monitor and maintain product standards and quality-control programs.
* Lead meetings and projects to optimize production operations.
* Plan and forecast production based on retail and dealer needs.
* Manage and update work-in-progress (WIP).
* Adjust production schedules as needed.
* Monitor and maintain inventory of manufacturing supplies.
* Provide reports and advise management on production, equipment, and purchasing.
* Review warranty and product improvement notices with the team.
* Ensure regular maintenance of tools and equipment.
* Liaise with different departments (e.g., suppliers, managers).
* Ensure and maintain health and safety standards.
* Lead safety initiatives, including weekly safety topics and incident reporting.
* Participate in employee relations (hiring, training, disciplinary processes, performance management, time management).
* Foster a positive labour relations environment.
* Implement company policies and goals with the management team.
* Attend required courses and training.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
*Qualifications:*
* Experience working as a Production Manager or similar role. (Required)
* Technical knowledge of equipment, assembly techniques, welding, and fabrication.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and CAD software.
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
* Outstanding communication skills.
* Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
* Attention to detail.
* In-depth knowledge of production management.
* Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
* Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
* Bachelor?s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (an Asset).
