Job Title: Operations Coordinator Location: Barrie, Ontario Terms: Permanent Full-Time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Reports To: International Imports Manager About Us: North American Freight Forwarding is a Canadian based company specializing in logistics services with specific strength in warehousing and distribution, LTL consolidations, expedites, full truckloads and specialized equipment service to and from Canada, United States and Mexico. As a professional international freight forwarder, we provide overseas import and export ocean and air freight services all over the world. Duties & Responsibilities: Arranging transport of import and export FTL and LTL shipments within and between Canada and the USA Negotiating rates with Carriers Quoting Customers Tracking shipments Communicating shipment details with customers and agents Submitting documents to Customs Brokers Arranging local pickups and deliveries Calculating revenue and costs on shipment files Mindset & Personality: Customer Service Oriented : Client focused and providing an exceptional experience for our customers Responsive: Committed to a high level of responsiveness both inside our business and with our customers and vendors Proactive : Takes initiative and an organized approach to day to day operations as well as future needs Professional & Educational Background: Minimum of 5 years? experience with Transborder Operations in the 3PL industry Knowledge of Forward Air type systems Working knowledge of Loadlink Experience with Tradeshow and white glove freight Skills & Ability: Communication : Has good listening skills and communicates effectively in both written and verbal formats including proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation Organization : Must be highly organized and detail-oriented when dealing with our fast- paced environment Multi-tasking : Must have strong multi-tasking abilities, be proactive and adaptable based on the needs of the company and our clients North American Freight Forwarding Inc. offers great employee perks including: Competitive compensation Extended health benefits Dental care Vision care Employee Assistance Program Life insurance RRSP program Casual work environment Engaging social activities and events throughout the year Our organization takes the accessibility needs of employees and candidates with disabilities into account during the position review process.
