JOB PURPOSE:Reporting to the VP Supply Chain, this role will provide project support to the Inventory, Purchasing, Logistics and Producer Services teams within the organization. By working closely with each team, they will support or lead continuous improvements. The projects currently required over the next 12 months will be:Major tenders for suppliesSupport the improvement of our purchasing process to implement key controls around inventory managementManage the implementation of our trucking software and finalize our weekly scorecard metricsOther TasksFollow the Conestoga WAY in the way you work with othersIdentify and implement process improvements to eliminate repetitive errorsLead and support the team in project and change managementPersonal DevelopmentAttend company required trainingRemain current with technical knowledge in areas of responsibilityAttend regular 1:1 coaching/update sessionsQUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years in a purchasing roleStrong communication skillsAbility to use a computer and advanced knowledge of MS Office softwareAble to interact in a professional manner and lead changeMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skillsKEY COMPETENCIES:Leading ChangeDisplays disciplined and rational thinking when it comes to assessing the current business operationsCommunicating with ClarityCommunicates in a manner that is straightforward and easy to understandMaintaining Individual AccountabilityCommits to producing the very best output, while maintaining safety and qualityWORKING CONDITIONS:Will spend some time on the production floor.If this sounds like the job for you, please click on APPLY NOW.Conestoga Meats welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
