*Company description* Murray Brothers Lumber Company is a modern outfit committed to producing high quality forestry products, including dimensional lumber, specialty products, and residuals. Working at Murray Brothers allows employees to work in a dynamic environment in one of the most beautiful places in Ontario. *Job description* Our Madawaska mill site is seeking talent to fill General Labour positions. The hours of this job are flexible (ie., permanent, full-time to seasonal, part-time). In this role, you will join a team of staff, operators, and maintenance specialists in the processing and delivery of lumber orders. *Compensation* - $17-19/hour starting wage for day shift. Employees who complete 3-month probationary period will be eligible for benefits and a raise. A wage premium will be offered to night shift workers. *Schedule - *Positions are open for both Day and Night Shifts; please identify which shifts you are willing to work in your application. 44hrs/week guaranteed for both shifts. Day shift ? 6:00AM to 3:30PM Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM to 2:15PM Friday Night shift ? 4:00PM to 3:30AM Monday-Thursday *Responsibilities * · Stack, strap, and wrap bundles of lumber; · General housekeeping duties (e.g., keeping tallies of lumber bundles processed); · Clean lockout areas during work stoppages. *Skills * · Adhere to all health and safety policies; · Can work productively in both team settings and individually; · Good communication skills; · Capable to self-motivate, self-manage, and multi-task; · Able to carry out the physically demanding requirements of the job (lift up to 50lbs); · Previous industrial experience, preferably in a sawmill, would be considered an asset.
