*Company Profile* Metal-Tech Industries is a metal fabrication and manufacturing company that has been operating in Winnipeg since 1984. We specialize in custom metal fabrication and support the food processing, food service and construction industries in Manitoba and Western Canada. *Position - Estimator* *Job Summary* The Estimator role at MTI is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented person who enjoys working in a team environment. They develop detailed cost estimates to allow informed pricing decisions. They work closely with their colleagues to achieve detailed quotes and present them to the customer. They also work closely with the shop to manage the job through to completion. *Job Duties* The following lists the duties expected to be performed by the Estimator; * Communicating with customers * Receive RFQs * Reading drawings * Create job cost estimates * Implement pricing strategies * Create Quotes *Skills & Characteristics* The Estimator must be a detail oriented person with good interpersonal skills. Experience and knowledge of fabrication processes are critical to success in this role, allowing for accurate estimates. Good verbal and written communication skills are required for working in a team environment and interacting with customers. *Relationships* The Estimator reports directly to the Estimating & Quoting Coordinator. They coordinate their efforts with any others holding the same position, if more than one individual holds the position. The Estimator must work closely with the Estimating & Quoting Coordinator, customers, the Production Manager, and the Drafting & Engineering Manager. *Job Type* Full time *Job Location* Winnipeg *Salary & Benefits* Metal-Tech offers a salary paid bi-weekly and an excellent benefits package. *Requirements* * Minimum of 5 years experience estimating in the custom metal fabrication industry * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to read drawings * Ability to use Microsoft Office * Familiarity with ERP software (JobBOSS experience would be an asset) * CET certification or MET education would be an asset Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00-$34.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Commission pay Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift Work Location: In person- LocationWinnipeg, MB
