Graze & Gather brings the farmers market to people's doorsteps. We are farmers and retailers local, diverse food and ingredients. Through our online store we provide an approachable grocery shopping experience that is creating a community of farmers and food lovers for the future well-being of people and planet. The primary role of the Driver is to be the face of the business, delivering groceries to the homes that we feed, delivering orders to the restaurants, and picking up food from the farmers and producers that rely on us. The ideal candidate for this role loves local sustainable food as much as we do, is obsessed with customer happiness and feels passionate about joining a team dedicated to building a community of farmers and food lovers. This is NOT a remote job. This role is located at our partner farm, Kendal Hills Farm at 8075 Maynard Road, Orono, Ontario. This role reports to the Owner. We are growing and love to promote from within plus you will receive 10% off of all our deliciously diverse food. *Duties & Responsibilities:* * Drive around the Greater Toronto Area, listening to your music and making deliveries in a timely and efficient manner. * Read delivery and pickup instructions carefully, especially where to leave bins. * Pick up any empty bins, ice packs, etc. and put them in the designated areas of the warehouse, at the end of the delivery. * After returning to the warehouse, unloading the van and storing any product that you picked up in the proper location * Provide our customers with a great experience when they interact with you! You are the face of the company, we receive a ton of positive feedback about our wonderful drivers! * Be happy working with limited supervision in a role where you will directly feed our community. * Take initiative and be willing to assist others as necessary, be happy to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. * Complete driver checklist accurately and legibly. * Additional duties as required. *Qualifications & Requirements:* * A non-graduated Driver?s License, and clean driving record for the past 5 years. * Experience driving larger vehicles (Mercedes Sprinter delivery vans) * Ability to comfortably drive around Greater Toronto Area, in all types of weather, displaying excellent driving skills. * Familiarity with surrounding areas is preferred. * A warm and engaging personality, displaying exceptional customer service! * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, our customers love their bins of groceries! * Willingness to work flexible hours and do other pick-ups as required. * *Must have own smart phone *so that you can use our routing software *Work Details:* Drivers need to be available during these times and be available for one to three shifts per week. * Tuesday - Thursday: 11:00am - 9:00pm, we make 30-40 stops per van per day. Actual length of shifts might be shorter, it all depends on how many stops there are that day. A 10 hour shift is the maximum we'd ask you to be on the road, and that's usually only during very busy times.
