POSITION: Secondary Teacher - temporary <p>ASSIGNMENT: Home Economics - Foods/Nutrition (Gr 10-12) <p>FTE: 1.0 <p>LOCATION: Correlieu Secondary School <p>EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2024 until January 31, 2025, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent <p>Basic Qualification: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:<p>Training Specialization: Secondary Education with a major in Home Economics<p>Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience as a Secondary Home Economics Teacher <p>A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.<p>Additional Qualifications: <p><p> Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in Foods/Nutrition<p> Have Food Safe Certification and proficiency with food equipment<p><p>Other: <p><p> Commitment to the School Growth Plan<p> Commitment to the School-based Team<p><p>The starting annual salary for the full time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
