Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Consult with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered. Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons. Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects. Prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction. Project management. Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons. Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs and construction schedules. Office management. Urban planning. Prepare sketches and models. Write plans describing project specifications and construction schedules. Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications. Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Membership in the Provincial Association of Architects. Computer and technology knowledge: Architectural software programs. MS Office. Computer-aided design (CAD). SketchUp. Area of work experience: Project coordination.
