Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Commercial dental laboratory. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Denturist's practice. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Finish metal framework of dentures. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys. Polish and buff dentures. Computer-aided design (CAD). Design methods: Detailed visualization. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Packing. Waxing-up. Polishing. Assembly. Computer and technology knowledge: 3D graphic software. Area of specialization: Full dentures. Partial dentures. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
