*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Veterinary Technician/RVT to join our amazing team at our two locations in Corunna & Wallaceburg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical tasks. Your expertise will help ensure the health and well-being of our patients, making a positive impact on their lives and the lives of their owners. *Duties* * Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments and surgical procedures. * Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. * Administer medications, vaccinations, and IV fluids. * Conduct lab tests and radiographs. * Monitor the health and behavior of animals before, during, and after procedures. * Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. * Prepare animals for surgery and assist with post-operative care. * Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and equipment. * Ability to lift large dogs and spend long periods of time standing. * Proficiency in laboratory techniques is essential for performing diagnostic tests. *Skills * * Proficiency in laboratory techniques is essential for performing diagnostic tests. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. * Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and medication administration. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor. * Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals. * Team player with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. * Inventory management skills. *Requirements* * A diploma from a CVMA recognized (or equivalent) from a Veterinary Technician program. * Can work at both locations in Corunna and Wallaceburg.
