_Newmar Window Manufacturing Inc. is a dynamic, well established company offering an exciting range of window and door products. We are part of the Alpa Lumber Group of companies specializing in the manufacture and supply of building materials for over 65 years._ _We are looking for dedicated and self-motivated individuals to join our growing team in our manufacturing facility._ *AutoCAD Draftsperson * *Responsibilities:* * Develop and prepare shop drawings, and proposal drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data * Develop and prepare design sketches and create drawings for assigned projects * Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets * Check and verify design drawings to conform to specification, CAD standards, and design data * Work with the manufacturing team to ensure that design specifications satisfy manufacturing capabilities. * Respond quickly to shop floor needs and provide practical and effective technical support to manufacturing issues or challenges. * Promote and foster a team environment with a proactive and positive workplace approach * Maintain contact/coordination with consultants. * Custom costing of product as required. * Must be proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, dimensions, general notes, design criteria, etc. * Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to produce high quality work as set forth by the company standards * All other duties as assigned *Qualifications:* * Completion of a Post-Secondary degree or diploma in architecture design preferred * Some experience and understanding of the fenestration industry will be an asset. * Excellent knowledge of Architectural CAD software such as AutoCAD. * Ability to read, comprehend and create AutoCAD drawings and specifications * Able to create and maintain BOM?s * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Exceptional organizational skills (multi-tasking, time management techniques) * Strong work ethic and detail orientated * Able to work independently and able to follow written instructions _Newmar and Casa Bella Windows is committed to building a diverse workforce representative of the communities we serve.
