The Operations Sector ensures that high-quality Impact Assessments of major projects, as well as Regional and Strategic Assessments are conducted and completed in a timely and predictable way in accordance with the Impact Assessment Act (IAA).Impact Assessments contribute to informed decision making on major projects, in support of sustainable development. The Operations Sector collaborates with the proponent, federal authorities and other jurisdictions to integrate scientific information and Indigenous knowledge in project assessments, providing for the meaningful participation of the public and Indigenous groups.The Operations Sector consists of the following directorates:¿ Review Panels, Regional Assessments and Strategic Assessments:The Regional Assessments and Strategic Assessments directorate is responsible for regional assessments (RAs) and strategic assessments (SAs) throughout the country, including identifying, evaluating and planning for potential RAs and SAs a- LocationVarious locationsEdmonton, , ABVancouver, , BCSt. John's, , NLHalifax, , NSOttawa, , ONToronto, , ONQuébec, , QC
