Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Plan the incorporation of landscape structures. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Manage landscaping projects. Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Plant and move trees. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Build patios, garden walls and other decorative installations. Assist with landscape constructions. Supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
