Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Construction site. Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation . Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Drug test. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
