Priority Logistics Inc is a full-service asset based tucking company with multiple locations across Canada. We are currently hiring a PM/ Overnight Dispatcher who has a background and experience in logistics and is actively seeking an opportunity for growth based out of our Mississauga Terminal. Position: PM / Overnight Dispatch Start time 1pm Responsibilities: * Respond to driver and customer calls, emails, and inquiries. * Dispatch truck drivers on various loads meeting appointment times for your pickup and delivery schedules. * In a timely manner, plan and create the dispatch for the following day, assign and send to drivers according to the workload to ensure maximum efficiency. * Communicate with other dispatchers and departments to ensure a smooth operation and all shipments are in transit on dedicated line hauls before cut off times. * Monitor driver progress regularly using various tools at your disposal to ensure a smooth operation. * Understand and apply Hours of Service (ELD) Regulations. * Monitor and track all shipments are on time and report any delays or issues. * Ensure maximum efficiency on route planning, sort and categorize shipments based on pick up and delivery locations, schedules, weights, and pallet counts. * Required to monitor repairs and maintenance schedules for company equipment. * Required to assist other areas of the operation to cover absences, vacation and illnesses, such as but not limited to: Data Entry, Manifest Creation, Invoicing, Logging Traffic Violations, Operational incidents reporting, Other administrative duties, Document management, Tracking equipment, Load Planning and Equipment Management *Schedule* Flexibility is a must, weekend work will be required Join our team as a Dispatcher to play a crucial role in coordinating logistics operations efficiently.
