We believe equity empowers each learner to thrive, holistically.<p> We invite applications for the position of:<p> <p>Full-Time Utility Grounds Worker (Class 3) <p>Pay Grade 4 - Job #0427 - $26.74/Hour<p>The workload for this position is eight (8) hours per day, being forty (40) hours per week, and may include shift work, twelve (12) months of the year.<p>Under the supervision of the Director of Operations or designate, this position will maintain grounds, and inspect and repair playground equipment. This position may be required to start work at various project locations.<p>Applicants must have : <p>- completed Grade 10;<p>- two (2) years experience with landscaping, installation and maintaining fencing and playground equipment;<p>- knowledge of horticultural activities re: tree pruning, grass cutting, and Integrated Pest Management techniques;<p>- knowledge and experience in operation of small powered equipment (e.g. lawnmower, snowblower, rototiller, string trimmer, tamper, hedge trimmer, and snow removal equipment including a bobcat with most attachments, etc.);<p>- demonstrated training and work experience in current BC construction/maintenance safety requirements and WCB Regulation relating to the trade and industry;<p>- valid B.C. Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement;<p>- completed the required Health & Safety training.<p> <p>Applicants must be: <p> - able to work with minimum supervision;<p>- able to work alone and within a team environment;<p>- self starter.<p> <p>Applicants will be expected to: <p>- possess the physical condition and health to carry out the required duties of this position in a safe and efficient manner;<p>- maintain good interpersonal and communication skills;<p>- have working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, word and excel;<p>- have working knowledge of the work order system.<p> <p>The following would be considered an asset :<p>- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate;<p>- thorough knowledge of current CSA Playground standards;<p>- First Aid Level 2 Certificate.- LocationKelowna, BC
