The Salon is locally owned. We offer our clients both a luxury experience and luxury products, something we like to call, ?The Salon Experience?. Our menu boasts a range of services from hair to aesthetic and even permanent makeup. Our space is newly expanded and has designated and separated staff/employee areas. We are a licensed facility, offering a variety of specialty coffee and alcoholic beverages to our clients. We are open Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 8:00pm, Friday from 9:00am to 7:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 5:00pm. We close early the Saturdays of Statutory Holiday weekends and are closed all stat holidays We believe wholeheartedly in constantly learning and offer both in-salon education to keep up with the latest trends and products and yearly education dollars for our team to use to expand their skills and knowledge for courses of their choosing. We are in search of a Licensed Hair Stylist to join our incredibly talented team! Located in Brooks, Alberta - The Salon is the perfect place to build your clientele. A modern, curated salon that gives a big city feel right here in the heart of our small-town community. Our team is charismatic, energetic and collaborative. We thrive on our ever evolving stylist-client relationships, and love the continuous growth of our staff and industry. We take great pride in the services we provide to our clients and giving them each something we call, "The Salon Experience". The ideal candidate is professional, trendy, and flexible with our salon?s busy morning, evening and weekend shifts. The Stylist must be able to provide a variety of services to clients, work well under pressure and push themselves to be creative in their work. We are looking for someone who is willing to help and collaborate, including working with our junior stylists and apprentices, and is constantly developing their skills and perfecting their techniques. A person who can communicate well with clients, also takes great pride in their work and who wants to grow their career in a positive, supporting environment, will blend in well with our team. *Requirements:* - Fully Licensed Hairstylist _(we are not looking for apprentices at this time)_ - Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends - This position is Full Time - Able to provide a Portfolio *Extra Qualifications:* _We do ask that all of our staff have the below certifications, although candidates do not have to have them prior to employment to be considered._ - WHMIS Certification - First Aid Certification - ProServe Certification Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.00-$35.00 per hour Additional pay: * Bonus pay * Commission pay * Signing bonus * Tips Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Store discount Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Morning shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Brooks, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * hair styling: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationBrooks, AB
