District of SparwoodDirector of FinanceTHE LOCATIONSparwood is a stable community of 4,100 in the beautiful Elk Valley, approximately 1.5 hours from Cranbrook, BC, and 2.5 hours from Calgary, THE ROLEWe are searching for an experienced Director of Finance. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and plays a key role in the strategic direction of the municipality THE DUTIESThe Director is responsible for the overall direction of all finance and information technology functions of the District, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, investing, revenue collections, property taxation, payroll, expenditure control and information technology.
