We are an accounting firm based in Ottawa and we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. This will be a full-time position with a detailed job description below. Learning and coaching among our staff are always encouraged because we promote self-advancement in our office. This Junior Accountant position will have plenty of exposure to tasks related to financial reporting and taxation. New grads welcome. *Responsibilities:* * Perform annual / monthly bookkeeping (Excel, Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online, Sage 50) * File government remittances GST/HST, payroll source deduction, WSIB and EHT; * Compile financial statements and working papers; * Prepare information returns (T4, T4A, T5, NR4, and etc) * Assist prepare T1 tax returns and related schedules; * Liaise between CRA and clients to resolve tax compliance issues. *Qualifications:* * Accounting Degree/Diploma; * Prudent and attention to detail; * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; * Willingness to work overtime during busy seasons; * Prior experience in bookkeeping and tax filing an asset * Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) an asset Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $38,000.00 per year Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Overtime Work Location: In person- LocationOttawa, ON
