We offer a competitive hourly wage + Benefits Please send your RESUME, COVER LETTER AND STATEMENT of FAITH to: mmchugh@lcawestshore.com *SUMMARY* Under direction of a teacher or School Administrator, provides support to students with social, emotional, physical and academic needs. *DUTIES* * Helps to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as directed by the teacher * Provides direct educational classroom support to students in various classrooms * Collects student learning and behavioural data (eg. records, reports, plans) * Monitor and support students? behaviour during class time, class changes, breaks and lunchtime * Monitors student work and assists students with work completion * Monitors class/students when teacher is out of the room for short periods of time *QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE* * High School Diploma * Clear Criminal Record Check * Experience and/or training in education environments * Experience working with students with diverse learning needs * Patience and experience working with children * The ability to be flexible/adaptable and committed to contributing to the wider school community * Experience in working as part of a collaborative team and possesses strong communication skills * Shows initiative and flexibility in working with students from K to 12 Job Type: Part-time Pay: $23.89 per hour Benefits: * Company pension * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Langford, BC V9B4G9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Secondary School (required) Experience: * working with children in a K-12 Learning environment: 1 year (required) Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person- LocationLangford, BC
