<p>1.0 Temporary Educational Assistant<p>East Region Flex - Under 90 days <p>Effective Immediately <p>L ocation: East Region: Sundridge, South River and Surrounding Communities <p> Regional Flex Role: Reporting to the Principal of Special Education, this itinerant position, will involve providing direct support to high needs students in all areas of exceptionality moving into the region mid-year or transitioning from one program or setting to another. School placements will be determined by Special Education Coordinators and Principals. Valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle required.Qualifications: Two-year post-secondary certificate or diploma in the social services field <p>Knowledge/Skills Required: Experience working with a variety of student exceptionalities including but not limited to: medically complex, autism, developmental disabilities and physical disabilities<p> Broad knowledge of a variety of support strategies including ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis), Behaviour Management Systems, CPS (Collaborative Proactive Solutions) and Augmentative Communication<p> Demonstrated ability to effectively support students in transition and/or implement programming in consultation with classroom teacher, central behavioural support team and respective therapists i.e. speech, sensory, occupational, physiotherapy<p> Knowledge and respect for Indigenous teachings and culture<p> Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a school-based teamRate of Pay: $20.80 <p>Please ensure your have uploaded your applicable Educational Diploma(s) and/or Degree(s) to your Apply to Education Portfolio <p>All applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada <p>The Near North District School Board is committed to supporting an inclusive and accessible environment.
