SECONDARY SCIENCE & ELL TEACHER <p>(1.0 TEMPORARY) <p><p>School District No. 42 (SD42) meets the learning needs of approximately 16,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, and is defined by its determination to keep student learning and growth at the heart of all its decisions. With an annual budget of over $200M and over 2,000 staff, the school district provides K-12 educational services in 22 elementary schools, six secondary schools, and two alternate schools. It also provides a variety of certificate programs and relevant quality life-long learning opportunities through Ridge Meadows College and Continuing Education.<p><p>SD42 is looking for qualified applicants for a 1.0 FTE temporary Science and English Language Learning (ELL) teacher position effective immediately to June 30, 2025, may include a graduated return. This position is at Maple Ridge Secondary School and includes 1 block of Science 8, 4 blocks of Science 9, 1 block of Science 10 and 1 block of ELL support.<p> The applicant will possess: <p><p> Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch,<p> Bachelor of Science degree and formal training or teaching experience in Science at the<p> Secondary School level.<p> Specialized education for ESL specialist teachers would be an asset.<p><p>Interested and qualified applicants should apply by clicking "apply online" below.
