They are tasked with researching complex reconciling items and providing financial analyses to assess the impact of various transactions.Hybrid Schedule with 1 day per Week at the Brampton location and as needed for training and meeting purposes. What will you do as a Financial Analyst II at Dawn Foods? Completes month-end close responsibilities and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, proactively bringing resolution to reconciling items. Ability to work closely with our international finance teams to ensure appropriate consolidation and assist special projects to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our processes and controls. Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecast including Sales, Supply Chain, and Administration Support all trade agreement approval and reconciliation processes The position may assist in technical reviews of company transactions for appropriate accounting treatment. The ability to research, comprehend, and apply these accounting standards and/or accounting standards updates is a plus. Supports the monthly and annual preparation of financial statements for external reporting. Supports the documentation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures. Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data. Performs analyses that vary in nature to present solutions and results for Dawn s finance work, projects, and initiatives. Takes initiative and executes under supervision to achieve task, department, or Company objectives. Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and support the Dawn Circle of Excellence. Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial data. Other duties as assigned.What Does It Take to be a FinancialAnalyst II at Dawn Foods?Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. A bachelor s degree is required,preferablyin Accounting or Finance. CPA designation is preferred A minimum of 4 years experience in both accounting and financial analysis is required. P&L management, accounting, commercial operations, and supply chain experience preferred. SAP information system experience is highly preferred. Ability to provide financial support and handle multiple tasks within an open and interactive environment. Excel experience, comfortable analyzing large data sets, utilizing pivot tables & charts, creating graphs, VLOOKUP, IF statements etc. High attention to detail A working knowledge of accounting practices, policies, and procedures in compliance with GAAP, sound internal controlsand close software preferred. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership throughout Dawn.
