Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Noisy. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Service attachments and working tools. Verify and repair emission control systems. Perform other routine maintenance. Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system. Cooling system. Lubrication system. Major internal engine repairs or overhaul. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions. Hydraulic transmissions. Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Sound discrimination.
