Senior Graphic Designer Permanent Marketing Department Competition No. C1154-24 PCDO (E) As a member of the Marketing & Cannabis Department, this position will be responsible for the following: Creates and develops innovative graphic material for corporate and departmental marketing initiatives through in-store promotional signage, NLC's Enjoy Magazine and local product label designs and advertising within strict deadlines Designs artwork for Communications and Corporate Responsibility initiatives through NLC Annual Report, Business Plan and SR Campaigns within specific timeframes Designs artwork for Special Events through in-store promotional materials, digital displays, online ads, social media and website graphics within specific timeframes Creates and delivers beverage alcohol & cannabis related graphic material for corporate website initiatives and maintaining appropriate web site information by meeting strict deadlines and being innovative with creativity Creates and delivers beverage alcohol & cannabis related digital media promotions through e-newsletters, digital displays, online ads, social media and external websites Designs materials that meet NLC's brand and graphic standards while ensuring that marketing initiatives and objectives as set by the Creative Services & Brand Manager are met with best design practices through quality creative and completed within specific timeframes Maintains quality control processes by ensuring accuracy in file preparation and necessary sign-offs while producing final files for print production Ensures that all graphic materials created is content accurate and display a visual consistency and identity throughout the corporation through electronic, print and web communications, which will strengthen the Corporation's image Ensures consumer knowledge of promotions and promotional pricing on all products through the effective creation of internal and external advertisements and the use of promotional signage The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution diploma/degree program with major course works in graphic and website design Experience in creative concept development (professional portfolio) Experience in photography and lighting techniques is an asset Thorough knowledge and proficiency in a Mac environment and computer software particularly Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Animate and Premiere Experience with digital content such as websites, animation, social media, online advertising and email campaigns Experience in Social Media channel advertising for (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc) Five (5) to Seven (7) years' experience in graphic design, web design and production Strong problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills NLC values diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace and strives to create a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
