Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Prepress/desktop publishing and digital imaging design. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Urban area. Printing industry. Tasks: Operate desktop publishing equipment and software to produce camera-ready copy. Use computer software to assess customer files for completeness. Input copy into typesetting device or system. Computer and technology knowledge: Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Photoshop. Type of experience: Typesetting. Security and safety: Bondable. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Organized.
