Education: Bachelor's degree. Parks, recreation and leisure studies. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Municipal government. Tasks: Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports and physical activities . Make recommendations on possible government policies related to recreation, sports and physical activities. Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff. Co-ordinate special events. Provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development and administration of sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities.
