Public Works Labourer 3 employees perform highly skilled tasks to maintain and enhance municipal infrastructure. This role requires extensive experience and advanced technical skills, working outdoors in all weather conditions. Responsibilities include complex maintenance, repair, and construction tasks for roadways (streets, lanes, sidewalks), water distribution and sewage collection systems, storm water systems, traffic signs and street lights, and the cemetery. The position ensures these systems are maintained to the highest standards and operate safely and effectively. Required Qualifications: Education & Certifications Valid Class 3A Saskatchewan drivers license Satisfactory results from a criminal record check and drivers abstract Powered mobile equipment (PME) certification, or equivalent The following certifications will be considered an asset and are required within the first 3 months of employment: o Confined space (entry and monitor) o Ground disturbance level 2 o Fall protection o Transportation of dangerous goods o WHIMIS o First Aid Experience A minimum of 1-year previous experience in a similar capacity Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must be able and willing to operate a dump truck or vacuum truck Knowledge of equipment maintenance Ability to work with minimal supervision Must be able and willing to perform all duties of the job in various weather conditions for extended periods Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships Good communication and comprehension ability - written and oral Visit our website meadowlake.ca/p/job-postings to view the full list of duties and requirements for this position.- LocationMeadow Lake, SK
