Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Tasks: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs . Perform scheduled maintenance service. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Area of specialization: Alignment, steering and suspension. Brake system. Front end components. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability.
