*Job Summary* The Automotive Service Advisor plays a crucial role in the customer service experience at our dealership. This position involves interacting with customers to understand their automotive needs, providing recommendations for service and repairs, and ensuring a smooth workflow between the service department and customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. *Responsibilities* * Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival. * Assess customer needs by asking relevant questions regarding vehicle performance and issues. * Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, including costs and timelines. * Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition. * Schedule appointments for service work and follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status. * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and payments. * Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in billing. * Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services and repairs. * Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner. *Skills* * Proven sales experience, preferably in an automotive or dealership environment. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. * Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes is essential. * Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enabling effective communication with technicians. * Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer trust. * Proficient cash handling skills to manage transactions accurately. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
